2/15/14: You thought I'd forget, didn't you? Of course, it's time for our yearly St. Patrick's Day Season celebration. I also removed the About Me, Friends and Family, and Land of Linkin' sites as those were pretty much outdated and almost everyone's on Facebook.

8/5/13: What a long strange trip it's been! We're taking a break from weekly music trivia with Quiz #650, The End. I also modified the front page.

6/3/13 - 8/4/13: After 12 years and a lot of fun, I am putting the Music Trivia Quiz feature on hiatus as of Quiz #650. The site will stay live while I consider new features.

9/4/12 - 9/12/12: WHOA! Not only did my old computer hardware get hit by a colossal Alaskan Bull Worm, but the Microsoft Store screwed up big-time while fixing it. Nevertheless, we're back on schedule with new music trivia.

9/1/10 - 9/30/10 - A major milestone and a major change for the site this month. First, we reached our 500th music trivia quiz! Then, I decided to eliminate the pet friends pages because virtually everyone has a Facebook now and they have their pets on Facebook. Thanks to all of Douglas' (and Bela's) friends for contributing pictures over the years.

8/1/10 - 8/31/10 - I edited the Music section of the front page and added more music trivia.

7/1/10 - 7/30/10 - I updated my About Me page to add Bela, and there's new music trivia.

5/1/10 - 6/30/10 - New music trivia.

4/1/10 - 4/30/10 - My nearly six-year-old computer got hit with an Alaskan Bull Worm on 4/21 and I had to get a new one, but miraculously, the entire website was saved, and Adobe GoLive! works on this new computer. I made some minor changes to the front page. I hope to have Bela in the graphics soon.

3/1/10 - 3/31/10: Some more misheard lyrics and music trivia, and a few updates on the Sunshine Band pages.

1/1/10 - 1/31/10: I have a new cat, Bela, and I set up his page and adjusted the cat, dog, and other friends pages.

12/14/09 - 12/31/09: More music trivia. Of course, I will be adjusting the pet pages and the logos after I get a new cat. I've kept them up for now to remember Douglas.

12/8/09 - 12/9/09: I am very sad to announce that I had to put Douglas to sleep on December 8, 2009, the 29th anniversary of John Lennon's death. I put up a memorial page to Douglas, and updated his information on his bio page. He will be missed by all of us on Becky's Island.

9/1/09 - 12/7/09: I made a few minor revisions to the front page, particularly in terms of the Chicago section. Added some more music trivia and of course some new Misheard Lyrics.

7/1/09 - 8/31/09 - Still more music trivia, and I did some editing in the KC and the Sunshine Band section.

6/1/09 - 6/30/09: I've decided to discontinue the birthday wishes feature on the front page. Nearly everyone I've wished happy birthday to is now on Facebook. We remembered Michael Jackson by putting his trivia quiz on the front page.

4/1/09 - 4/30/09: Becky's Island mysteriously became a branch of the Cuban Interest Section on April Fool's Day. Douglas has a new dog friend, another Chinese Crested.

3/1/09 - 3/31/09: New mis-hears! We're celebrating St. Patrick's Day and wishing my brother Scott a happy 40th birthday.

2/1/09 - 2/28/09: This month marked Abraham Lincoln's 200th birthday, so we put the Land of Linkin' picture on the front page. Yep, it's that time of year again, and we changed to our St. Patrick's Day decor on February 16.

1/1/09 - 1/31/09: New quizzes and a NEW PRESIDENT!. Wow, there are a lot of plantain fans out there!

12/1/08 - 12/31/08 - New quizzes, and I removed the Myspace link from the front page as I don't really use that site much anymore.

11/1/08 - 11/24/08: We celebrated Barack Obama's election as President, and removed Douglas' campaign link. Vote for Benny in 2012! There are also some new misheard lyrics.

8/1/08 - 10/31/08 - New misheard lyrics and quizzes, and we added our 400th quiz!

7/1/08 - 7/31/08: I've added Adrian's tribute page as a permanent link in the Music section, so he isn't forgotten. Uncle Sam Jerry wishes us a Happy Fourth of July again.

6/1/08 - 6/30/08 - This was a sad month on Becky's Island. We remembered my grandmother, who died the week before what would have been her 99th birthday, and my friend Adrian Garcia, who died six days after my grandmother. Also, new music trivia.

4/1/08 - 4/28/08: I added my LinkedIn profile to the front page. Bork bork bork, we were temporarily hijacked by the Swedish Chef on April Fool's Day!

3/1/08 - 3/31/08 - We wished our friend Adrian a happy 50th and 1st birthday, and went back to our normal blue front on the 18th. There's also some new music trivia.

2/1/08 - 2/29/08 - Yes, it's that time of year again - the next holiday is March 17, so we have our Celtic header up now. I'm now on Facebook, so come and visit my profile. We remembered the victims of the senseless shooting at Northern Illinois University, where my dad worked from 1970-73.

1/1/08 - 1/31/08 - Douglas is running for president! I added the link to his presidential blog and also the Barack Obama for President link. Douglas has a new Chinese Crested dog friend, and I rearranged the dog friend pages.

11/1/07- 11/30/07: Our 2007 Holiday Greetings page is up, with a Charlie Brown Christmas theme. I slightly revised the Marshall Field's tribute page to make it seem a little more celebratory.

10/1/07 - 10/31/07:Douglas has a new Manx cat friend. This month, I decided to remove the links to the Cuban music pages, because I wasn't updating them and I'm really not qualified to review this music since I didn't grow up with it. But I still enjoy it!

8/1/07 - 8/31/07: I retired the Ibrahim Ferrer tribute page because it's been over two years since he died. There are a few new links in Land of Linkin' and Friends and Family.

7/1/07 - 7/31/07: I made some major revisions to the Land of Linkin' page, including deleting broken or outdated links and adding some new ones. Douglas has (had) new cicada friends, and there are a few new Words to Live By.

5/1/07 - 5/28/07 - I added some new Banfield links on the Friends and Family page, including a few pictures of the Banfield Road exit in St. Clairsville, Ohio. The road was named after the first William Banfield in our family. There are a few new Misheard Lyrics, and Douglas has a new food he's eaten. Bit it right off, too.

4/1/07 - 4/30/07 - WHAT? Becky's Island was bought out by Macy's? No, thank goodness, it was just an April Fool's joke. Douglas has a new cat friend, Benny. We remembered fellow former Culver resident Kurt Vonnegut.

3/1/07 - 3/31/07 - We put up a few new Words to Live By, edited the Misheard Lyrics page to remove the photos, and remembered Brad Delp of Boston.

2/1/07 - 2/28/07: We added a new review of the Chicago Live in Japan cd, and there are some new Words to Live By. Our new St. Patrick's Day graphic is up (it goes up every year on February 26). I put up a link to the Barack Obama web page.

1/1/07 - 1/31/07: We celebrated our sixth year on the Web with a new front page and page-top logo design, courtesy of Dave Hunter Digital Design. There are a few new Misheard Lyrics.

12/1/06 - 12/30/06: Our annual holiday page this year remembered past holidays at Marshall Field's. I found a few new Banfield ancestral pages and put links to them on Friends and Family.

5/1/06 - 5/31/06: Since it now looks like we've lost the battle to save Marshall Field's, I added its founder's most famous quote to the front page of the site.

4/1/06 - 4/30/06 - Sure and if we didn't turn into "Becky's Ireland" for April Fool's Day this year! We also started the "A Few Words" quiz series.

3/1/06 - 3/31/06 - I decided to add a "Words to Live By" section to the front page, and to remove the Ribbons page as it had outlived its usefulness. There are some new Misheard Lyrics. We're back to blue on the 18th after our St. Patrick's Day green celebration, and we remembered Ray "Heat Miser" Meyer.

2/1/06 - 2/28/06 - We put up a link to the Adrian Garcia Project to help out a friend of the Island. We love you Adrian! Douglas has two new cat friends, and we're green again!

1/1/06 - 1/30/06: Douglas has a new rabbit friend and a new cat friend, and there are some new misheard lyrics. I also added the Official George W. Bush Days Left in Office Countdown Clock, just to give us all some hope.

12/1/05 - 12/31/05: Some more quizzes and I added the Bella T. Manx tribute to Douglas' permanent pages.

11/1/05 - 11/29/05 - Douglas has a new dog friend. We continued our series of Music at the Movies quizzes and put up the Holiday Greetings Page which has a Douglas Fir/Fur theme. I added a link to the "Not In Our Name" project from the front page.

10/1/05 - 10/31/05: Douglas' friend Bella T. Manx passed away on October 28, 2005, and we put up a tribute page for Bella. There are some new Misheard Lyrics and we have begun our series of Music at the Movies quizzes.

9/1/05 - 9/30/05 - We put up a link to help the victims of the New Orleans flood and then put up the link to the Save Marshall Field's site. In honor of my 40th birthday, we presented a "40 Number One Songs in 40 Years" quiz, the first ever quiz to be dated on a Monday rather than on a Wednesday. (Big whoop, I know.) There are some new Misheard Lyrics.

8/1/05 - 8/31/05: This month, I added a tribute to my favorite singer, Ibrahim Ferrer, who died almost ten years to the day after Jerry Garcia. We also remembered Vassar Clements, who died ten years and one week after Jerry Garcia. Douglas has a new lizard friend and there are some new Misheard Lyrics. The terror alert is back to Bert level.

7/1/05 - 7/31/05 - Douglas has a new dog friend and there are some new Misheard Lyrics, including our first-ever misheard lyric in Spanish. This page is getting very large; I may have to section it off somehow. We remembered the victims of the senseless London transit bombings along with Douglas' friend PJ and Mr. Scott from Star Trek, and the Terror Alert got changed to "Ernie" for US mass transit.

6/1/05 - 6/30/05 - Added some new Misheard Lyrics and added a few new favorites to Douglas' page. This month, we renewed the Becky's Island domain name through 2012. Yay!

5/1/05 - 5/31/05 - Would you like to put the creative mind behind Becky's Island to work for you? Added a few new Misheard Lyrics, including some traditional songs, and added a few more Banfields to Friends & Family. Unfortunately, I had to take one restaurant off Land of Linkin'.

4/1/05 - 4/30/05: This year's April Fool's Day prank involved the FCC potentially shutting down the site due to the promotion of "illegal feeding of marshmallows to cats." Thanks to everyone who helped "save the Island!" I updated some of the broken Friends and Family links.

3/1/05 - 3/31/05: We're blue again, and there are some new Misheard Lyrics.

2/1/05 - 2/28/05: Oh yeah, it's a Becky's Island tradition, we always go green on February 26. Douglas has a new critter friend, a shrew, and there are some new misheard lyrics.

1/1/05 - 1/31/05 - Welcome to 2005! I've begun to update the Cuban music section.  There are some new ribbons, some new misheard lyrics and a new front-page quote. I updated some links on Friends and Family and added some new Banfields.
